What fun to make a quilt from the six orphan blocks of the six generations of quilters in my family. Included are my greatgrandmother Salome Strum Lauffenburger, my grandmother Kate Ames, my mom Selma Davidson, me, my daughter Thea Engen, and granddaughter Brielle Engen. All the quilts have buttons of the era and since Brielle made the quilt for my sister in law who was treated for breast cancer the buttons on hers are sparkly breast cancer ribbons. Mine are the wooden ones my husband makes. I did the pictures with bubble jet set, and the stitchery tells the dates.
