My Grandmother’s quilt was very worn and old. It was tied with batting and was all bunched up. I removed the ties to separate the layers, and cut off the edge where it was connected to the backing.
Now, I could start making the ornaments!
- Buy some plastic inexpensive ornaments.
- Cut a circle of the old vintage quilt that is big enough to stretch over the ball. (experiment with sizes of circles)
- Wrap it around the ornament.
- Before tying the ribbon I wrote on it. “Made by Hannah Hutchinson Davidson” and on the other end of the ribbon ” Made in early 1900s”
- Tie the ribbon around the top.
